Q: What is red light therapy and infrared therapy?
A: Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared (NIR) light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular energy production (ATP). This promotes healing, reduces inflammation, boosts collagen, and supports overall wellness. Infrared therapy refers to the deeper-penetrating wavelengths that can reach muscles, joints, and tissues to relieve pain and improve circulation.

Q: What conditions can I use it for?
A: Red/NIR light therapy is commonly used for joint pain, inflammation, muscle recovery, wound healing, skin rejuvenation, acne, brain fog, fatigue, and mood support. Infrared also supports detoxification, stress relief, and deep relaxation.

Q: How frequent shall I use it and for how long?
A: We recommend using red/NIR therapy for 10–20 minutes per area, 3–7 times a week depending on your goals. You can start with shorter sessions and increase gradually.

Q: When will I start noticing benefits?
A: Some people feel immediate relief, especially with pain or mood. Most see visible skin changes, improved energy, and sleep quality within 2–4 weeks of consistent use.

Q: Can you get tan or burned by the red light?
A: No. Red/NIR light is non-UV and non-ionizing, so it does not cause tanning or burning. It’s safe for regular use and won’t damage the skin.

Q: Can I use the light if I'm pregnant?
A: We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy, though low-level light therapy is generally considered safe when not applied directly over the belly.

Q: What does it feel like?
A: The red/NIR light feels warm and soothing on the skin. There’s no pain or discomfort—many users find it relaxing, like lying in the sun without the UV rays.

Q: Is there a recovery time?
A: No downtime is needed. You can use it as part of your daily wellness routine without any disruption to your schedule.

Q: How do I know what a good light device is?
A: Look for high irradiance (at least 100mW/cm²), medical-grade LED panels, the correct therapeutic wavelengths (typically 660nm and 850nm), low EMF output, and certifications (like FDA registration or third-party testing). ORB devices meet these standards.

Q: What is PEMF?
A: PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy. It delivers low-frequency electromagnetic waves to stimulate and recharge your cells, helping improve circulation, reduce pain, support sleep, and speed up recovery.

Q: What does the ORB Life mat do for you?
A: The mat combines PEMF, far infrared heat, negative ions, and crystal therapy. Together, they help detox the body, support cellular repair, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote a sense of calm and grounding.

Q: How long should I lay on my ORB Life PEMF mat?
A: Start with 20–30 minutes and increase to 40–60 minutes based on comfort and goals. Many users also enjoy resting or napping on the mat for deeper therapeutic effects.

Q: How many times can I run the PEMF in one session?
A: One session is generally sufficient, but you can run it multiple times per day as needed. Just allow time in between for your body to integrate the effects.

Q: Will it affect any of my metal hardware for artificial joints?
A: No, PEMF is considered safe for most metal implants, such as artificial joints or dental work. However, consult with your doctor if you have concerns.

Q: What if I have a pacemaker?
A: PEMF is not recommended for individuals with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices unless approved by a physician.

Q: Can I use the mat if I'm pregnant? What about the PEMF for pregnancy?
A: We do not recommend PEMF therapy during pregnancy. You may still benefit from the infrared heat (without PEMF), but always consult with your healthcare provider.

Q: How do I know the PEMF is working?
A: Some users feel a slight pulsing, tingling, or warmth, while others don’t feel anything at all—this is normal. The effects are happening at a cellular level whether you feel it or not. All ORB Life Mats include a magnet that can be held over the PEMF to show the

Q: Can I feel the PEMF?
A: Some people are sensitive and may feel a gentle vibration or wave sensation. Others may not feel anything—but that doesn’t mean it’s not working.

Q: What is the little plastic cylinder with the metal bead in it for?
A: That’s a static electricity discharge tool. Before touching the control box, tap the cylinder to it to safely discharge any static electricity from your body. This helps protect the mat’s electronics.

Q: How often should I lay on my mat with the PEMF?
A: 3–5 times a week is ideal for most users. Some people use it daily for stress relief, pain management, or sleep support.

Q: What do I do if my mat stops working or my light stops working?
A: Reach out to us directly for troubleshooting. We offer warranty coverage and support for technical issues and replacement parts.
